Ingredients:
Whole wheat crust
Tomato pasta or pizza sauce
Gardein Italian meatballs
Violife cheddar and mozzarella shredded cheese
Raw bell peppers
Raw onions
Grape tomatoes
Hot peppers (optional)
Garlic powder
Cayenne pepper
Himalayan salt
Garlic powder
Italian seasoning
Thyme
Crushed red peppers
Paprika
Cumin
Oil
Prep:
Cut your desired amount of bell peppers, onions, and grape tomatoes. I used red, yellow, orange, and green bell peppers and red and yellow onions. I diced the peppers and onions and halved the grape tomatoes.
Add your diced peppers and onions ONLY into a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, cayenne, thyme, paprika, and cumin. Coat your veggies with oil. Massage and mix the veggies together. Remove the veggies from the bowl and place them to the side for later use.
Use the leftover oil and seasoning (add more if you need it) and do the same with the grape tomatoes. IMPORTANT: Do this gently as tomatoes are sensitive AND you don’t want to lose all the juice and seeds inside of the tomatoes.
Gardein meatballs: IF FROZEN: place your desired amount of meatballs onto an oiled baking sheet (or use foil and coat the foil in cooking spray oil). Put the meatballs into the oven or a conventional oven to cook your meatballs. IMPORTANT: Only cook the meatballs for about 10 minutes. Do not cook them all the way through as they will cook while you are cooking the pizza. Once the meatballs are done, safely remove them from the heat source. Allow them to cool for a few minutes or until they are safe to the touch and cut the meatballs in half. IF NOT FROZEN: Cut your desired amount of meatballs in half.
Preparing your pizza:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Place your crust on a greased pizza pan or a baking sheet
Put your desired amount of tomato sauce onto your pizza (I used Target’s Tomato, basil, and garlic pasta sauce)
Cover the sauce with your desired amount of shredded cheese
Evenly distribute your peppers and onions onto the pizza
Evenly distribute your halved meatballs onto your pizza
(Optional) Add your desired amount of hot peppers. Distribute evenly
Evenly distribute your halved grape tomatoes
(Optional) Sprinkle your desired amount of Italian seasoning onto your pizza
Cook time:
Safely place your pizza into the oven. Let it back for 40 minutes and/or until it is cooked to your liking. Be sure to check on it once or twice while it is cooking to ensure it is not burning.
Once your pizza is cooked, safely remove it from the oven and let cool it is safe to eat.
Optional: add Italian and/or crushed red pepper to your pizza. Cut yourself a slice and enjoy!
